Man Arrested In Denville With Active Court Warrant
DENVILLE, NJ - The Denville Police Department says they arrested a man with an active court warrant out of Paterson, New Jersey. On July 14, Denville Police stopped a vehicle after noticing the driver was not wearing a seatbelt. 63-year-old Anthony Ward of Paterson was found to have a suspended driver’s license and active court warrant. Ward was arrested and brought to Denville Police Headquarters for processing. A Rockaway Township man died due to his injuries days after he crashed his motorcycle in Lafayette on the Fourth of July, police said. Two residents in Paterson, N.J., admitted to conspiring with a physician to distribute opioids without a legitimate medical reason. Jasmine McGregor, 32, and Jhenelle Lewis, 35, pleaded guilty to conspiring with Lisa Ferraro, MD, to prescribe oxycodone to people who were not actually Dr. Ferraro’s patients and whom she never examined or questioned, according to a July 18 news release from the Justice Department.
