Madden Faraimo, a highly-rated four-star linebacker from San Juan Capistrano, California, is taking his time with his college recruitment. After initially planning to commit before the start of his senior season, Faraimo has decided to focus on the four schools he feels most connected to— USC Trojans , Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Texas Longhorns, and Washington Huskies—without setting a specific commitment deadline.

The talented linebacker, ranked No. 96 in the ESPN 300, is evaluating his options and seeking the best fit for his academic and athletic goals. With a strong family history in Southern California, Faraimo has a deep connection to USC. He is listed as the 8th-best linebacker recruit by On3’s Industry Ranking .

Madden, the brother of UCLA softball standout Megan Faraimo, has a family connection to USC. His brother Matt played volleyball for the USC Trojans from 2017 to 2020, and his cousin, Salo Faraimo, played under Pete Carroll in the early 2000s.

As a 2025 prospect, Faraimo has been impressed by the new energy and direction under first-year defensive coordinator D’Anton Lynn and linebackers coach Matt Entz. The changes in the coaching staff have created a fresh atmosphere at USC, which has caught the attention of many recruits, including Faraimo.

As Faraimo continues to explore his options and gather more information, college football fans will be eagerly watching to see which program ultimately secures his commitment.

“It’s just going to be me leaning back on my faith and getting the clarity that I need from God and feeling that it’s truly the right place,” Faraimo said. “Once I get to that point, I’ll pick the school and run with it.”
