LAGRANGE, Ind. (WANE) – With the high school football season approaching, a small school signal caller is seeing his stock soar at Lakeland High School.

Brayden Holbrook is coming off a solid sophomore season. The 6-foot-3-inch quarterback passed for 1,710 yards, tossing 14 touchdowns while rushing for five scores on the ground. In two seasons as Lakeland’s starting quarterback, Holbrook has 3,338 career passing yards and 31 touchdowns, along with seven rushing scores.

As a team, Holbrook helped Lakeland finish with a 6-4 record, their best season since 2018.

Holbrook is already receiving Division I interest heading into his junior season. The quarterback earned an offer from Miami (OH) while also staying in contact with other Division I coaches. WANE 15 caught up with Holbrook on Friday while passing at Saint Francis’s prep prospect camp.

Holbrook and the Lakers kick off their season on Friday, Aug. 23 against South Bend St. Joseph.
