Several area athletes were selected to the Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association Class 2A All-State teams released on Friday. Meadville led local schools with four selections on the all-state teams. Sophomores Luc Soerensen, Tymir Phillips and Parker Gosnell were named to the first-team. Soerensen and Gosnell are outside hitters while Phillips is a middle hitter. On the second-team, Meadville senior setter Jack Brown made the cut. In the quiet hours of July 4th, the Kingston Police Department was summoned to the First Parish Unitarian Church on Main Street following reports of vandalism and arson. According to a statement released by the department, they found considerable damage inflicted overnight.
