Nonprofit provides free flights for medical patients
LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. — This isn't the first time Michelle LaBar has strapped herself onto a jet plane at Hazleton Regional Airport in Luzerne County. In fact, she has been taking free flights from Hazleton to West Virginia for the past four years thanks to Patient Airlift Services or PALS Skyhope, a nonprofit organization that provides free flights to those battling illnesses and needing to travel elsewhere for medical services.

Virginia Angler Wins Susquehanna River Kayak Fishing Tourney
LEWISBURG – Smallmouth bass anglers caught almost 2,500 fish in the Susquehanna River over the weekend, and some of those fish were 20 inches or more. There was also a lots of attention was focused on The Valley over the weekend. A national kayak bass fishing tournament was held here. In the end, it was an angler from Virginia who won the tournament, and over $11,600 in prize money. The Susquehanna River Valley Visitors Bureau hosted the tournament.

Lock Haven, Pa. — Downtown Lock Haven hosted its Final Friday this weekend with a special Cruise-in Car Show on Main Street, along with live music, great food, and shopping.
