Urbandale Food Pantry hosts 5th annual bike ride to combat hunger in central Iowa
The Urbandale Food Pantry will host its 5th annual Pedal for the Pantry Bike Ride on Aug. 25 at 9 a.m. at Des Moines Water Works Park. Riders can select between four routes, all of which begin and end at Water Works Park and include stops at participating bars and breweries. Upon finishing, the Des Moines Biergarten will provide live music and refreshments from 1 to 3 p.m. In addition, the pantry is collaborating with Mulberry Farm & Food Truck from Central Iowa Shelter & Services to offer brunch. For every brunch ticket purchased, Central Iowa Shelter & Services will provide a nourishing meal to one unhoused individual. To register, visit the Urbandale Food Pantry website.

Woolsey New QB1 Under Center For Knoxville Football
The Knoxville Football Squad will have a new signal caller under center this season. Brenden Woolsey got several snaps last year near the end of the season after Noah Keefer went down with an injury. Keefer graduated last spring, so that opened the door for Woolsey to take over.
