After 7 years as the City of Murrieta’s City Manager and over 25 years in local government, Kim Summers has announced her retirement at the end of this year. She has dedicated herself to a life of public service, coming to the City of Murrieta as the Assistant City Manager in 2014 and being appointed by the City Council to City Manager in 2017. She served as Deputy City Manager and Public Information Officer in the City of Hesperia from 1999-2014.

Local Hazard Mitigation Plan Update Underway
Public input is vital as the City updates the Local Hazard Mitigation Plan. A brief survey allows residents to share their opinions and participate in the process. The City of Rancho Santa Margarita is updating its current Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) approved Local Hazard Mitigation Plan (LHMP), which is required to be updated every five years or by December 2024. More information about the current LHMP and the process to update it can be found on the City’s website.
