MINNEAPOLIS — A really nice Wednesday in the works with high pressure and a gentle wind coming in out of the east. Expect plenty of sunshine and temperatures fighting to break into the 80s.A wind shift will allow for more of a southerly wind helping us warm up on Thursday and Friday and eventually taking our temperatures to the upper 80s or maybe even 90 by the weekend. We should remain dry for the rest of the week, with an increase in humidity as the temperatures build. FARIBAULT, Minn. — A man who held up traffic on Interstate 35 near Faribault for hours on Sunday had more than 40 pounds of meth in his vehicle, charging documents filed in Rice County allege.A 42-year-old man from Minneapolis is facing multiple felony drug charges and a charge for illegally possessing a firearm as a felon convicted of a crime of violence.Charges say law enforcement attempted to stop the man's vehicle on I-35 in Steele County by using stop sticks. CROOKSTON MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS VISITING WASHINGTON D.C.
Crookston Middle School students are in Washington, D.C. They left Crookston early Monday morning and hit the ground running as they saw some of the monuments. They made it a great day on the first day of the trip. Teacher Steve Kofoed said it was a long day, but the kids represented Crookston very well, learned some things, and hopefully had fun.
