Bikers rev up for Christmas in July
Motorcycle riders will take to the road for the annual Smoky Mountain Toy Run to provide Christmas gifts for needy children. The Christmas in July will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, July 20. Riders contribute $20 be rider, or $30 for two riders. Proceeds will be used to buy bicycles for children at Christmas time through Eblen Charities’ St. Nicholas Toy Store.

HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. – Ride Rock Creek, a 300-acre downhill mountain biking park, hosts the 2024 USA Cycling Gravity Mountain Bike National Championships, July 31 to Aug. 4. This prestigious event returns for the second straight year to Ride Rock Creek, adjacent to DuPont State Recreational Forest, a few miles south of Hendersonville.

Position: Graduate Assistant Men’s and Women’s Tennis. Summary: The Graduate Assistant Men’s and Women’s Tennis will assist in all aspects of a competitive tennis program and is responsible for, but not limited to: the integration of Christian faith, and the recruitment, retention, and academic success of student-athletes. Priority will be given to candidates with experience in college tennis and recruiting; strong people skills; Experience in player development and strength and conditioning. In addition to coaching, this position requires assistance in multiple aspects of team management, including budgeting, facilities management, academic support, and retention of quality student-athletes. This position will be responsible for maintaining compliance with all Montreat College, Appalachian Athletic Conference, and NAIA bylaws.
