"Wavelength" Concert to Illuminate Orlando with Interactive Arts Experience in August
Orlando is dialing up the volume on its arts scene with a new immersive concert experience called "Wavelength", slated to take over the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts this August. Described as part concert, part multimedia visual art exhibition, the venue will be alight with more than 200 light pillars, lasers, projectors, and custom fixtures, harmonizing with live entertainment that features 20 professional singers and 12 orchestral musicians, enhanced by an ambient, modern six-member rock band, as reported by ClickOrlando.
Report: UCF Basketball to Host Jacksonville in 2024-25 Non-Con Matchup
The UCF men’s basketball team is set to take on the Jacksonville Dolphins in a non-conference matchup on Saturday, Dec. 21, per Jon Rothstein. Central Florida went 17-16 in its first season competing in the Big 12 Conference last season, meanwhile the Dolphins placed 10th in the Atlantic Sun division with an overall record of 16-17.
Burglars break car windows, steal from firefighters at 2 Seminole County stations
ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – Two Seminole County fire stations are now among five in Central Florida where a wave of car burglaries was reported over the weekend. The Seminole County Fire Department on Wednesday confirmed eight vehicle break-ins were reported early Sunday at Fire Station 12, with another four vehicle break-ins at Fire Station 14, both in Altamonte Springs.

OVIEDO, Fla. — The city of Oviedo is getting ready for its big fireworks show on the 4th of July. This year, it's scheduled forSaturday, July 6 at the Oviedo Mall. Due to scheduling conflicts with the fireworks vendor, Oviedo City Council voted during a December meeting to hold the celebration on July 6 instead of June 29 or Friday, July 5.
