    Utica home talent remains perfect in Sunday League with wins over Albion and Lake Mills

    The Utica Association earned a 15-1 win over the Lake Mills Grays in Sunday League Home Talent action at Utica Park.

    Tyler Soule led the Association with four RBIs, hitting two two-run doubles in a nine-run second inning for Utica. Also in the inning, Carson Knapp knocked in two runs on a single.

    Saxton Shore, Derek Karlen, Max Gartzke, Connor Kalinowski, Ben Hildebrandt and Alec Tomczyk also recorded an RBI.

    Brock Wanninger, Andrew Iverson and Owen Ernest combined to hold the Grays to just one hit in seven innings pitched. Ernest and Iverson each recorded four strikeouts.

    For Lake Mills, Romzy Barketallah scored on a throwing error in the sixth inning. Jasper Meeker recorded the lone hit for the Grays.

    Utica (7-0) faces McFarland (3-4) at the McFarland Baseball Facilities at 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 30.

    Utica 3, Albion 0

    Utica scored a 3-0 win over Albion on Sunday, June 16 at Albion Park in Home Talent Sunday League action.

    The Association scored a run in the first, third and eighth innings. Ben Hildebrandt went 2x4, while Tyler Soule hit a double.

    Utica’s other game against Albion that was scheduled for Saturday, June 22 was postponed due to weather.
