    Where to go locally for St. Patrick’s Day

    Those hoping to embrace the Irish spirit will have options throughout the Lake Oswego, West Linn and Wilsonville communities on St. Patrick’s Day. Here are some ideas for enjoying the festivities.

    Lake Oswego St. Patrick’s Day festival

    Dullahan’s Irish Pub in Lake Oswego will once again host a St. Patrick’s Day weekend extravaganza at its location on B Avenue Friday-Sunday, March 15-17.

    The event will include live musicians playing Irish music throughout the weekend as well as Irish dancers. Attendees can buy an advance ticket for $20, which will get them in for the whole weekend, and can also purchase a ticket at the site for $10. The event will run until midnight Friday and Saturday night and will be 21-and-up starting at 4 p.m. those days. The Sunday festivities will be open to kids throughout.

    Dullahan’s expects over 1,000 people to attend this year.

    West Linn celebration

    West Linn’s Willamette area will get into the Irish spirit Sunday, March 17 with a special St. Patrick’s Day celebration. Businesses in the Historic Willamette district will offer St. Paddy’s specials.

    Vendors from Historic Willamette Main Street’s Summer Market will be on hand selling their wares, while musicians Nathan Earle and Diarmuid Ryan provide the tunes.

    Historic Willamette is also organizing a photo booth, children’s scavenger hunt and raffle drawing for the event.

    The celebration takes place from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, March 17 on Willamette Falls Drive.

    Wilsonville events

    Wilsonville Old Church & Pub will host a St. Patrick’s Day celebration on Saturday, March 15. The all-ages event will have live music beginning at 4:30, along with themed food and drinks.

    Wilsonville’s Bullwinkle’s location is hosting a 21-and-up St. Patrick’s Day celebration on Sunday, March 17, from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. Regular tickets cost $45, while VIP tickets are $55.

    ElsewhereThe Clackamas County Event Center will host a casino night in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day on Saturday, March 16 at 6 p.m. The 21-and-up event will feature a full bar, live music and food for purchase, and also serves as a fundraiser for the new multipurpose building at the event center.
