The Lake Oswego girls golf team took home the 6A state championship on Tuesday, shooting a collective two-day total of 632 to best Sunset by 14 strokes at Trysting Tree Golf Club in Corvallis.

The Lakers were led by stalwart sophomore Hailey Lim, who fired a two-day total of 147 to finish tied for fifth. On Monday, Lim shot a four-over-par 75 before posting a one-over 72 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, junior Ansley Kang finished seventh as an individual for Lake Oswego, recording a two-day total of 158.

The same tandem of Lim and Kang led the Lakers a season ago, each finishing in the top-15 while the team finished just two shots back of first-place Jesuit.

Rounding out Lake Oswego’s participants at Trysting Tree were Alexis Zou, Olivia Mygrant and Kennady Hottel, who shot 162, 165 and 179, respectively.

Lakeridge freshman Marley Platt, qualifying as an individual, finished tied 45th with a two-day total of 185.

Meanwhile, West Linn finished 14th as a group as junior Alyssa Riehm fired a two-day total of 182 to take 42nd.

Sophomores Grace Geyer, Emmie Butler and Ellie Hoffman, and junior Madison Owens rounded out the Lions’ lineup at state, finishing with a team total of 802.
