    Coach: Tim Broe

2023 results: Second at the Three Rivers League district meet, sixth at state

2024 team: Senior Ana Peters, senior Sophie Howard (fifth at the TRL district meet, 42nd at state), junior Taylor Sheldon (16th at district, 62nd at state), senior Noelle Plasse (20th at district, 53rd at state), senior Joelle Thompson (ninth at district, 27th at state), senior Raquel Pihlstrom (27th at district, 84th at state), junior Cordelia Megowan (32nd at district).

2024 outlook: The Lakers return six of seven runners from their 2023 district runner-up, while also welcoming the return of 2022 Class 6A state champion Ana Peters.

“I fully expect this group to be battling not only for a league championship, but for a spot on the podium at the state meet,” said Lake Oswego’s first-year coach Tim Broe. “The key to our success will be keeping everyone healthy. This group has enough depth and talent to challenge the best teams in the state if we can keep everyone injury-free.”

Team leaders: Ana Peters, Sofie Howard and Taylor Sheldon are all aiming for top finishes in the Three Rivers League and — the Lakers hope — the 2024 Class 6A state meet.

“After a disappointing year plagued by injury, … Ana Peters returns looking to defend her state title,” Broe said. “We also return … Sophie Howard and … Taylor Sheldon, both (of whom are) aiming to crack into the top 15 at the state meet. We have an unusually top-heavy group of seniors who bring a lot of experience and passion to the girls squad.”

2024 TRL Contenders: Lake Oswego and Lakeridge.
