I am not saying the mosquitoes are bad or anything — if you have been outside lately you know they are so I do not have to waste time saying it — but I have so many mosquito bites I am looking like a kid with the world’s worst case of chicken pox.
Jim Callahan is the latest 'Flower Power' honoree
FORWARD Worthington, through the Community Image Committee, is sponsoring the “Flower Power – Yard of the Week.” The newest winner is Jim Callahan, 1027 Liberty Drive. Anyone is eligible to nominate a residence as a candidate for the “Flower Power – Yard of the Week.” Nominations can be made by calling the FORWARD Worthington office at (507) 372-2919. People who know of a landscape or garden project that has enhanced physical attractiveness from a street view of a property and believe it deserves consideration for an award are urged to make a nomination.
First annual Glow Run coming to Hartley
HARTLEY—Hartley Health & Fitness Center has a bright idea for the 2024 Hartley Summer Celebration. The facility will house a 5K Glow Run and 1K Glow Walk. The 5K (3.1-mile) run will take place 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, with the 1K (.6-mile) walk following at 9 p.m. Registration begins 7:30 that night at the fitness center.
