(Ripley County, IN) – Complaints from residents about reckless driving led to the arrest of a Madison man in Ripley County on Friday morning. First Ever State Record Fish in Iowa
(Lewis) Starting January 1, there will be a new list of state record fish to attempt to get in addition to the original list. On Saturday morning, DNR Fisheries Biologist John Lorenzen’s DNR Report on KSOM, the state conservation commission, established a set of records of large Iowa fish caught by anglers in June 1962, thus beginning the official list of State Record Fish. Interestingly, the first record submitted was from a seven-pound, four-ounce, 22.5-inch largemouth bass caught at Cold Springs Park southwest of Lewis.
