Iron Horses, Bishops athletic programs peak near SC’s top
Dan Minkin will never forget his first year as athletic director at Philip Simmons High School. Minkin signed on in time for the 2019-20 academic year. That academic year will be remembered at PSHS as the year of the first graduating class in the school’s history. In 2016, Newfield native and Tompkins Cortland Community College alum Mickey Beach was a 20-year-old baseball player looking to take a different route in the sport. Lumbee culture class is cancelled till the end of summer. Culture classes will resume on September 9, 2024. This break will give our families that attend classes some time for family vacations, summer camps and back-to-school events. We are working on a series of workshops for the fall.
