The LCF was formed in 2003 to enhance the quality of life in the greater Lincoln community by funding projects of community-based organizations and creating positive change. Their geographical “footprint” covers more than just the city of Lincoln, encompassing essentially the territory of the Western Placer Unified School District, i.e., the city of Sheridan to the north and additional communities to the west of Lincoln. (Note: The LCF should not be confused with the Lincoln Hills Foundation, which concentrates on charitable projects for seniors in the Lincoln community).
