MARYSVILLE, Calif. - The city of Marysville is asking Caltrans to partially reopen Highway 70 through Marysville after the Historic Hotel caught fire on June 15. The city of Marysville said it received an engineering report on Tuesday and it said only the top floor of Hotel Marysville is at risk of falling. The report also said traffic could safely be restored to the southbound lanes of Highway 70 if a 10-foot-high debris catch-barrier is built.
