(WWJ) - Authorities have reopened the cold case of Cassandra Durham, a 19-year-old Maryland girl who was reported missing after heading to Northern Michigan to visit her boyfriend's family. In the summer of 1987, Durham and her boyfriend left their Baltimore home to visit his grandparents in Roscommon.

Expect mild lows tonight in the upper 50s and a few passing clouds, especially for those adjacent to or downwind of the lake. Michiana breaks back into the 80s on Saturday as low pressure from the northwest begins to develop, signaling the return of increasing temperatures. Overall, a generally pleasant weekend of weather is in store for the area. Humidity won't be oppressive, but dewpoints will rise gradually Sunday onward. Cloudier skies persist into next week with chances for rain increasing Monday night and lasting through Wednesday.

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) -Friday morning marked the coolest start for the area this week. Temperatures feel to the lower 50s in the morning and climbed only to the upper 70s for the afternoon. Saturday morning will be similar and just a few degrees warmer in the morning and afternoon. Highs on Saturday will be in the lower 80s and an overnight temperature in the upper 50s. Sunday will have slightly higher humidity and early morning cloud cover. No rain is in the forecast on Sunday, but the pattern will shift towards scattered showers and storms next week. At this time, the severe weather threat remains low next week.
2 Michigan men sentenced after threatening people with firearms at convenience store
(CBS DETROIT) - Two Lansing men have been sentenced to prison for making threats and carrying firearms inside a convenience store, the U.S. Attorney's Office announced Thursday.Quentin Earl Booth, 39, was sentenced to 71 months and three years' supervised release. Derrick Smith Jr., 30, was sentenced to 57 months. Federal prosecutors say in September 2023, police responded to a store in Lansing about a report that Smith walked into the store with an assault rifle.
