GRCC officers respond to reports of deceased person found near campus, hit and run, property damage and trespassing
On July 16, Grand Rapids Community College Police responded to a medical emergency around 9 a.m. just off GRCC property and across from Fountain Street Church. Upon arrival, police determined that the 62-year-old man was deceased. The officer suspected that no foul play was involved and the case is now being handled by the Grand Rapids Police Department.
Country artist postpones sold-out concert at Meijer Gardens
GRAND RAPIDS, MI – A sold-out concert that was scheduled for tonight at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park was postponed last-minute. Country singer Charley Crockett canceled his show that was scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, at the Meijer Gardens Amphitheater. He announced the cancelation on his social media pages about an hour before the show started.
