Man arrested in massive drug bust on South Bend’s west side
SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - We’re learning more about a massive drug bust containing enough fentanyl to kill almost everyone in our viewing area. A federal criminal complaint has just been filed in the Northern District of Indiana after the bust, which happened Tuesday morning in the 700 block of S. Bendix Drive on South Bend’s west side.
Plymouth Woman Arrested for Battery
The Plymouth Police Department responded to a report of an alleged verbal domestic dispute at a residence on South Michigan Street. Police say 35-year-old Misty Masterson, of Plymouth, was there to pick up a woman and her children when Masterson exited her vehicle and began battering a man at the residence in the presence of police.

South Bend firefighters respond to multiple fires overnight
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend firefighters were called to two different structure fires on July 4 and into the morning of July 5. "Shortly before midnight companies were dispatched to the 700 block of Johnson Street for a fire," fire officials said. "F103 reported a working fire in a one-story house. Crews found fire on the exterior of the house on the Charlie side extending into the attic. Crews began attacking the fire and opening up the attic space where heavy fire was found. Crews were able to get a handle on the fire and the fire was marked under control around the third ten-minute notification. Primary and secondary searches were negative. No injuries were reported."

Five Men Face Charges For Battering Inmate At Kosciusko County Jail
WARSAW — Five men are facing criminal charges for allegedly battering an inmate while they were all incarcerated at the Kosciusko County Jail.
