Another Successful Run for LakeFest
(La Porte, IN) - Another very successful Lakefest was held over the weekend in La Porte. Among the events were two days of professional jetski racing on Stone Lake. Scattered storms and high humidity
The humidity is on the rise. Tonight will feature high humidity, mostly cloudy skies, and a 40% chance of scattered showers. Brief, heavy downpours are possible as well but much of the area will stay dry tonight with lows falling into the upper 60s. Scattered showers and storms are possible every single day this week besides Wednesday. It will stay muggy which will push heat indices into the 90s most of the coming week. Highs may hit 90 on Wednesday with partly cloudy skies and dry weather. The severe weather risk remains low this week as of now, but any stronger storm could have heavy rain and gusty winds up to 40-50 mph. Highs in the 80s and the oppressive humidity likely last into the coming weekend.
