ODOT and Fairfield County road projects that could affect your upcoming drive

Current and upcoming road closures and restrictions for Fairfield County are listed below. Click on each route to see the location at OHGO.com.

Ohio 310 Culvert Replacements - This project is for replacement of culverts on Ohio 310 Between the Fairfield and Licking County lines. New impacts: Beginning Monday, Sept. 2, Ohio 310 will close to traffic between Ohio 204 and Palmer Road NW for culvert replacement until Friday, Sept. 13.

Ohio188 Culvert Replacement - This project is for replacement of culverts on Ohio 188. New impacts: Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 3, Ohio 188 will close to traffic between Ohio 256 and Lake Road for culvert replacement until Friday, September 6. Detour: Ohio 188 to Ohio 256 to Ohio 37 to Coonpath Road to Ohio 188 and reverse.

U.S. Route 33 median improvement - Installation of cable barrier along US 33 in Franklin and Fairfield counties from Gender Road to the emergency turn-around between Hill-Diley and Pickerington Road. Estimated completion is October 2024. Continued impacts: Motorists can expect shoulder closures along U.S. 33 for the installation of cable barriers.

Ohio 159 bridge replacement - This project includes bridge replacement of the Ohio 159 bridge carrying Ohio 159 over Muddy Prairie Run, just north of Pleasant Valley Road. Estimated project completion is October 2024. Continued impacts: Ohio 159 is closed just north of Pleasant Valley Road SW for approximately 70 days for bridge replacement. Detour: Ohio 159 to SR 56 to U.S. 22 to Ohio 159 and reverse.

Bauman Hill Road to close

The Fairfield County Engineer’s Office is announcing that the following road will be closed for thefollowing dates listed below:

Bauman Hill Road (County Road 53) will be closed Tuesday, Sept. 3, through Friday, September27, to remove and replace a culvert, weather permitting. This closure will take place on BaumanHill Road between Lutheran Church Road and Schwilk Road. Construction will take place betweenthe addresses 4307 and 4300 Bauman Hill Road SE.

Meetings

• Village of Carroll Safety Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26, at the Municipal Office, 68 Center Street. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss DORA, police hiring, police purchases, speed signs and any other business brought before the committee.
• Village of Carroll Rules Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, at the Municipal Office, 68 Center Street. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the employee handbook and any other business.
