    Friday's results

    Wayne Valley (NJ) 28, Lancaster 7: The Golden Gales struggled to get their offense going a week after piling up 38 points as Wayne Valley pulled away in the second half.

    After Wayne Valley took a 7-0 lead, the Gales were able to it up on a 53-yard touchdown run from Jahmeir Gordon, but Wayne Valley scored again to take a 14-7 halftime lead and scored a touchdown in the third and fourth quarters to pull away.

    Lancaster finished with only 151 total yards compared to 363 for Wayne Valley, which completed 23 of 30 passes for 223 yards. Sophomore linebacker Jackson Reynolds had an interception for Lancaster.

    The Gales’ offense was just 1 of 12 on third-down conversions and finished with 99 yards rushing. Gordon finished with 70 yards rushing on three carries and caught two passes for 29 yards. Brody Burke completed 6 of 15 passes for 52 yards.

    Teays Valley 28, Bloom-Carroll 10: The Bulldogs’ offense struggled in their nonconference loss against the Vikings.

    Bloom-Carroll took a 3-0 lead in the first quarter, but Teays Valley answered and led 14-3 at halftime. The Bulldogs cut the deficit to 14-10 in the third quarter but could no closer. The Vikings added two more touchdowns to pull away. No other information was available.

    Fairfield Union 48, Meigs 6: The Falcons jumped out to a 13-0 first-quarter lead, and led 23-6 at halftime in their nonconference win over the Marauders.

    Owen Ruff rushed for 164 yards on 20 carried to lead the way for the Falcons (1-1), who finished with 310 total yards, including 296 on the ground.

    Liberty Union 39, North Union 34: The Lions bounced back after a tough loss last week by outlasting North Union in nonconference action. No other information was available.

    Trimble 46, Berne Union 13: The Rockets scored first, but it was all Trimble after that as the Tomcats pulled away for a nonconference win.

    Mayson Walton scored on a 10-yard run in the first quarter, but the Tomcats responded by scoring 22 points in the second quarter to take a 22-13 halftime lead. Jarett Thompson threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Clayton Moore in the second quarter, but the Rockets were shut out in the second half.

    Trimble scored 17 points in the third quarter to pull away. Thompson led the Rockets with 44 yards rushing on six carries and passed for 63 more yards.

    Oak Hill 35, Fairfield Christian Academy 28, OT: The Knights fell short in their nonconference loss to Oaks. No other information was available.

    Millersport 52, Vanlue 12: The Lakers picked up their first win of the season and did it in dominating fashion. No other information was available.
