Dallas man caught smuggling immigrants in McLennan County indicted by grand jury
WACO, Texas (KWTX) - A Dallas man arrested in April on charges he was smuggling four immigrants from Mexico to Dallas was indicted Tuesday. Guillermo Ramirez Hernandez, 46, was charged by a McLennan County grand jury with four counts of smuggling of persons. Three of the charges are third-degree felonies, punishable by up to 10 years in prison. A fourth count is a second-degree felony, with a penalty up to 20 years, because it alleges Hernandez was trying to smuggle a person younger than 18.

Jacoby Willis, 46, of Dallas, Texas, was talking to another individual at a residence in the 7200 block of Bethany Street when a family member heard several shots. The family member checked on Mr. Willis, who had been shot in the neck and was unresponsive. He was transported to Ochsner LSU Health hospital, where he succumbed to his wound at 11:59 p.m.

Arrest made in connection to woman's murder
IRVING, Texas — A man has been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of a woman in Irving, police said.On July 1, 2024, at approximately 6:15 a.m., officers responded to an "unknown" call for service in the 3100 block of Walnut Hill Lane. Upon arrival, they discovered 42-year-old Sucel Cuba Gomez, of Irving, Texas, deceased in the parking lot with multiple stab wounds. The suspect, 44-year-old Yunier Aldazabal, had fled the scene in a vehicle before officers arrived, according to a press release from the Irving Police Department.At approximately 9:00 a.m., officers located the vehicle with Aldazabal inside, parked in a lot in the 2800 block of W Irving Blvd. He was taken into custody without incident.
