DALLAS (KDAF) — The Dallas Foundation has awarded over $700,000 in grants to 26 local organizations, set to benefit thousands across Greater Dallas. The grants, averaging just over $28,000 per organization, are part of the Foundation’s Spring Grants Cycle and are supported by endowed funds tailored to match a donors’ specific interests. The funds, established by and named for their founding donors, support a diverse array of causes, including the arts, animal welfare, domestic violence, and health-related causes, and prioritize programs that address today’s urgent needs while paving the way for a brighter future for our neighbors across Greater Dallas.

Dallas police arrest suspect in fatal shooting on Bruton Road
DALLAS, Texas — Dallas police have arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on July 21, 2024. At approximately 9:00 PM, officers responded to a shooting call in the 9800 block of Bruton Road. Upon arrival, they discovered 44-year-old Keeman Bowens lying on the ground with gunshot wounds. Dallas Fire Rescue responded, but Bowens was pronounced dead at the scene.

TEXARKANA — Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones arrived at a federal court in Texarkana Monday morning for a paternity case he has been fighting for the last two years. Jones countersued Alexandra Davis for breach of contract after she publicly claimed he was her father.
