The Philadelphia Eagles Will Trade Jalen Hurts to the Las Vegas Raiders
Howie Roseman is an elite general manager at the NFL level. Time and time again, he performs “salary cap gymnastics” to put the best possible talent on the field for the Philadelphia Eagles. While these moves might seem brilliant in the present moment, the dollars spent always have to be accounted for eventually. The Jalen Hurts contract was a huge signing. The five-year, $255 million deal remains one of the largest contracts ever for an NFL athlete. Signing Hurts to an extension made sense when Roseman put together the offer. But after a disappointing end to last season, is it time for the Eagles to think about their future plans? If so, a Jalen Hurts trade would provide them with cash and salary cap relief, which they could use to extend more of their homegrown talent.
The Philadelphia 76ers may have a brewing Jared McCain problem
Jared McCain’s Summer League performance has been underwhelming. Known as a shooter coming out of Duke making 2.4 threes per contest on 41.4 percent efficiency, he has failed to replicate that production and efficiency this summer. Through eight contests, he averaged 23.5 minutes, 11.9 points, and 1.8 threes per game while converting 28.6 percent of his attempts from the field and 25.5 percent of his three-point tries.

Phillies all but crown J.T. Realmuto’s backup catcher for next year
For the past couple of seasons, the Philadelphia Phillies have had Garrett Stubbs firmly entrenched as the backup catcher to J.T. Realmuto. Stubbs may be lacking a bit in terms of production with his bat, but whenever he has been called upon, no matter how sporadic, he can always be counted on for his defensive play and calling behind the plate. On top of that, he is also a popular figure in the Phillies clubhouse.
