City Of Manning Donating A Newly Developed Lot To The IKM-Manning School District
The Manning City Council has approved donating one of the Stadium View Drive lots to the IKM-Manning School District for the school’s upcoming trade project. Back in June, the school district approved partnering up with Manning Municipal Utilities (MMU) to provide students with a work-based learning of the different trades used when constructing a new house. The City of Manning will donate one of the lots from the Stadium View pocket neighborhood to be the permanent location for the students’ project. Once completed, the house will become available for purchase by interested buyers. The other homes in the neighborhood are currently being designed and constructed by Origin Homes, a custom-home building contractor based out of West Des Moines. SEMO to face Iowa State in 2026 College Football season
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - Southeast Missouri State University will face Iowa State during week one of the 2026 college football season. According to Iowa State’s official athletics website, the Cyclones were scheduled to open the 2026 season against the Northern Iowa Panthers on September 5 at Jack Trice Stadium in Ames, Iowa. However, the Cyclones will now host the Redhawks on the same date, which is week one of that season.

City of Adel Needs Public’s Help for Beggars Night Date
The City of Adel is asking for residents’ feedback to help nail down a date for the annual Halloween celebration. Halloween is still a few months away, but the City of Adel is looking to secure the day to host their trick or treating event. According to the city, there are three suggested dates to choose from for Beggars Night 2024. The proposed dates are Saturday, October 26th, Thursday, October 31st, and Saturday, November 2nd.
RAGBRAI in Indianola “Just Eat It” Wednesday
RAGBRAI will stop in Indianola this Wednesday, day four of the annual event. Indianola has been designated as a “meeting town” in between the overnight stops of Winterset and Knoxville, and the theme for the Indianola stop will be “Just Eat It.” The current proposed route has the riders entering the city on Hwy 92, turning north and traveling through the downtown Indianola square, where the proposed activities including food trucks, vendors, entertainment, a bike shop, safety tent, and hydration station will be located as riders then make their way south onto Highway 65/69 towards Milo.
