Musician Thomas Konow, 61, Killed In Fiery Catskill Crash
The Greene County incident happened at around 11 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, on State Route 9W in Catskill. New York State Police said Thomas Konow, age 61, of Claverack in Columbia County, was driving a GMC SUV southbound on SR 9W when the vehicle left the roadway, struck the wall of a railroad overpass, and caught fire.

A 9-year-old Durham boy was found safe Friday afternoon after officials issued an Amber Alert for him Thursday night, according to a release. Police issued the alert just before 10:30 p.m. Thursday for Geon King-Parriett, who Durham officers say was his mother. Authorities said his mother is in their custody.
