Greensboro woman dead after wreck in Tuscaloosa
A 42-year-old woman is dead after a single-vehicle crash in Tuscaloosa Monday morning. Police say the crash happened just after 8 a.m. on July 22, 2024 in the 4500 block of 45th Street East near Hargrove Road, when Tiffany Sheree Jones of Greensboro was traveling north on Hargrove Road East in a 2006 Ford Explorer that left the roadway and struck a tree in the front yard of a home.

Troy Tiger Sharks qualify for State Swim Meet

The Tiger Sharks placed 3rd overall in the district and had 22 swimmers qualify in a combined total of 37 individual entries and 7 relays for the State Swimming Championships that will be held in Opelika, Alabama July 26th-27th.
ALDOT announces grants for municipal airports
The Alabama Department of Transportation today announced it has awarded over $22,000 in state funding to three municipal airports for improvements. The Ozark Municipal Airport in Ozark will receive $144,000 from the Federal Aviation Administration and $8,000 from a state grant for the construction of a corporate hangar. The airport will provide $8,000 in matching local funds for a total value project of $160,000.
