Chambers County expands access to virtual healthcare
LAFAYETTE, Ala. (WTVM) - The Chambers County Health & Wellness Center in Lafayette is expanding with the installation of an OnMed care station. These stations allow patients to meet with licensed healthcare professionals via a TV monitor. At the end of 2023, officials said the Chambers County station was the most used in the country and that metric has not changed in 2024.

61-year-old arrested in Opelika for child solicitation charges
An Auburn man is facing charges following a child solicitation investigation by Opelika police. The investigation began after the Opelika Police Department received a report of a suspicious incident involving a juvenile in June of 2024. Through the investigation, a suspect was identified and on July 1, 2024, 61-year-old Scott Morgan Kral from Auburn, AL, was arrested. Kral is charged with Traveling to Meet a Child for an Unlawful Sex Act, Electronic Solicitation of a Child, and Enticing a Child for Immoral Purposes.
