Warrington Police Stop a Man Allegedly Trying to Break into the Front Door of a House
WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA—Warrington police intervened when a 33-year-old Ambler man was allegedly trying to break in the front door of a house in broad daylight. Police said that on June 27, Steven Joseph Delpopolo was on Tabatha Drive when he tried to break into the front door and front windows of a house. A Philadelphia man who robbed two banks in three days- one in Bensalem Township– was sentenced to serve 15 years in prison, federal authorities said Monday. Maurice Ray, 34, was sentenced Monday by United States District Court Judge Juan R. Sánchez to 180 months’ imprisonment, three years of supervised release, a $200 special assessment, and restitution of $2,147 for the December 2021 holdups.

See the latest incidents in Newtown and Wrightstown townships. The following was provided courtesy of the Newtown Township Police Department. At approximately 1 a.m., police were dispatched to the area of Cherry Lane in Wrightstown Township for the report of a single-vehicle traffic accident. Upon contact with the operator, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.
