Driverless semi crashes into home
LAWRENCE, Kan. — The Lawrence – Douglas County Fire Medical Department (LDCFM) responded to an incident on Friday involving a driverless semi-truck. According to a social media post, the LDCFM responded to a fire at 1021 Main Street after an unoccupied semi-truck collided with a home, striking powerlines and igniting a fire.

Judge convicts juvenile for role in shooting during Chiefs’ Super Bowl parade
Several people are facing charges for murder and other offenses related to the shooting that took place at the Super Bowl victory parade of the Kansas City Chiefs in February. According to The Associated Press, the Missouri state Department of Youth Services facility will be the new home for one of the juveniles this week. One dead, five hurt in crash on Kansas Turnpike near Emporia
WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - One person is dead and five others were injured Saturday afternoon near Emporia during a crash on the Kansas turnpike. The Emporia Fire Department says units were dispatched to mile marker 134 on the KTA on Saturday afternoon shortly after 3 p.m. for an injury accident. Upon arrival, units found a two-vehicle crash with multiple patients.
