    Prep roundup: Okemos, Mason baseball record sweeps

    BASEBALL

    OKEMOS 12, HASLETT 0 / OKEMOS 7, HASLETT 1

    Caleb Bonemer went a combined 6-for-7 with a double to lead the Wolves to a pair of nonleague wins over Haslett. Nik Greborunis picked up four hits, including a home run and four RBI, James Poletes notched two hits and a double and Ray Smith added two RBI and a double for Okemos. Caleb Fisher led Haslett with three hits and a double.

    MASON 7, WAVERLY 5 / MASON 7, WAVERLY 1

    Wyatt Ball and Tyler Hall each picked up a pitching victory as the Bulldogs notched a nonleague sweep over Waverly. Carson Chapin tallied two hits, two runs and a RBI and Tyler Hall and Joey Schild each tacked on two hits for Mason. Iggy Arroyo picked up a double and two RBI for the Warriors.

    PERRY 11, BATH 6 / PERRY 10, BATH 1

    Joey McGraw-Allen went 2-for-4 with a triple, four RBI and two runs in game two for the Ramblers in their CMAC sweep. Tyger Whitbeck finished with three hits, a double and three runs scored, Tristan Krupp picked up two RBI and Cole Sawyer and Memphis Schrauben added two hits for Perry.

    FENTON 6, OWOSSO 2

    Austin Blaha notched a team-high two hits for the Trojans in a Flint Metro League crossover defeat to Fenton. Eden Ackley and Blake Binger each chipped in a hit for Owosso.

    BOYS GOLF

    CAAC WHITE TOURNAMENT

    Cole Hutchinson finished with a tournament-low of 76 to lead Lansing Catholic to the CAAC White tournament win at The Emerald. Eaton Rapids finished in second place behind Bradon Ellis and Nick White with 83. Levi Browning finished in second overall with a score of 78 for Olivet and Reis Blasius picked up a score of 79 for Charlotte.

    GIRLS SOCCER

    FOWLERVILLE 5, OWOSSO 1

    Elizabeth McCroan notched a goal for the Trojans in a nonleague loss to Fowlerville. Adaeline Mahoney tallied a team-high eight saves for Owosso.

    SOFTBALL

    PERRY 4, BATH 2 / PERRY 5, BATH 4

    Sara Austin recorded 14 strikeouts in game one and 11 in game two, surpassing 500 career strikeouts in the process, as the Ramblers picked up a CMAC sweep. Austin finished with four hits, Madison Ralston tallied three hits, two doubles and two runs scored and Alivia Davis tacked on two hits for Perry. Kaitlyn Dickey had a home run and two RBI and Abby Smith and Kassi Buck finished with two hits for the Bees.

    EATON RAPIDS 8, WILLIAMSTON 7

    Madaelen Putnam picked up the victory in the circle and added two hits to lead the Greyhounds to a nonleague win. Ari Brooks finished with a team-high three RBI, Izzy Hoag hit a solo home run and Riley Cutler and Cheyenne Drinkwater each added two hits for Eaton Rapids.

    HASLETT 13, OKEMOS 3 / OKEMOS 5, HASLETT 4

    Addie Leppek went 3-for-3 with three RBI in game one for the Vikings as they split the nonleague twinbill with Okemos. Malorie Pinkelman and Lainey Lafargue each had three hits, Payden Whitmore tallied a home run and three RBI and Riley Wheeler added two RBI for Haslett. Brenlie Bartlett tallied two RBI and Keirlyn Bane notched the win in game two for the Wolves.
