Truck crashes at Laredo international bridge after chase
LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - A truck crashed at one of Laredo’s international bridges early Tuesday morning, July 2, after a chase with police and other law enforcement. Witnesses say the Department of Public Safety (DPS), Border Patrol, and other local law enforcement agencies tried to stop a truck from crossing into Mexico. This morning, Laredo Border Patrol posted pictures of a crash at the bridge. It’s unclear if it’s the same crash.
Man dies in Nuevo Laredo hit-and-run
NUEVO LAREDO, Mexico (KGNS) - A man died after being hit by a vehicle in Nuevo Laredo on Saturday morning, June 29, and the driver allegedly fled the scene. The incident occurred in the Manuel Cavazos Lerma neighborhood on Eva Sámano Avenue. Reports indicate that the man was trying to cross the street when he was struck by a vehicle.

LAREDO, Texas — Laredo Sector Border Patrol has announced the deployment of a Multi-Energy Portal (MEP), a Non-Intrusive Inspection device for commercial vehicles. The release of the MEP at the I-35 Border Patrol Checkpoint incorporates advanced technology to enhance the safety of the traveling public while facilitating and expediting trade, according to the press release.
