    Sheriff: Missing Michigan mother, baby found walking barefoot on Webb County ranch

    WEBB COUNTY, Texas ( ValleyCentral ) — A missing Michigan woman and her infant were found barefoot on a Laredo ranch, authorities announced.

    According to the U.S. Border Patrol Laredo Sector, the missing woman and her baby were found July 6 on a ranch near the Interstate 35 checkpoint.

    The woman and her child were allegedly reported missing out of Michigan a the beginning of the month.

    Shortly after receiving medical attention, the woman and her baby were turned over to the custody of the Webb County Sheriff’s Office.

    Deputies were able to identify the woman as a Michigan resident based on her driver’s license and learned that she had been reported missing by the Wyoming Police Department on July 3.

    The woman told authorities she ran out of gas on her way to South Padre Island.

    The infant and mother were later returned to Wyoming, Michigan, by their family, deputies say.
