Kate Martin's Postgame Interaction With UConn Star Is Turning Heads

The Las Vegas Aces recently visited the Washington Mystics in the U.S. capital for a matchup that saw the Aces leave with an 88-77 victory. Las Vegas is one of the hottest teams in the WNBA, riding a four-game win streak, but fans weren't entirely focused on the outcome of the game on Saturday. Aces rookie Kate Martin was seen sharing a postgame exchange with UConn star Azzi Fudd.

Fudd and Paige Bueckers were both in attendance. Bueckers later revealed that the two were there to support their former teammate, Aaliyah Edwards, a rookie for the Mystics.

Martin has a history with UConn, recently defeating Fudd, Bueckers, and the rest of the talented Huskies squad 71-69 in the 2024 Final Four with the Iowa Hawkeyes.

WNBA fans online were raving about Martin's exchange with Fudd. The rookie met with the UConn star after posting three points in six minutes for the Aces.

"The duo we never knew we needed," said one fan.

Martin and Fudd have never played with one another, but fans seem to love the duo.

"The crossover I needed," said another fan.

Martin and Las Vegas will be back in action on Tuesday at 9:30 ET against Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever.
