Las Vegas Aces star and two-time WNBA MVP A'ja Wilson got her teammates a special cake for Pride Month . It isn't the first time Wilson has made such a gesture; the move is a yearly occurrence for the South Carolina product.

This time, Wilson's cake was decked out in rainbows, disco balls, and scissors, with "Hooray you gay" front and center. “Every year I get my prideful teammates a cake for pride month,” she said in an Instagram post. “This year’s cake was top tier and straight to the point for ’em.”

Wilson is a standout performer for the Aces, the two-time defending WNBA champions. The Las Vegas star is averaging a league-high 26.9 points per game to go along with 11.1 rebounds. She's currently seen as the frontrunner for league MVP after missing out to Breanna Stewart last year.

As a collective, though, the Aces are 10-6 and sit in fifth place in the WNBA standings, four and a half games behind the league leader, the New York Liberty. In their last game, the Aces defeated the Washington Mystics, 88-77, with Wilson playing a starring role.

Wilson scored 11 points, while also producing nine rebounds and five assists. The defending champions and Wilson will now welcome the Indiana Fever and Caitlin Clark on Tuesday. Indiana got back to winning ways against the Phoenix Mercury after back-to-back defeats.

"I'm just happy we won," said superstar Clark, who finished with 15 points, 12 assists and nine rebounds. "It was cool to play against [Taurasi], and obviously a really great game. This crowd was absolutely incredible."

Both Wilson and Clark are in the top three in early fan voting for the WNBA All-Star Game. However, Clark is unsure about her participation. "I don't know if I'll be there. I'm not going to talk in hypotheticals. My focus is on playing basketball, and all that takes care of itself. My main focus is on this team," Clark said.

Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese, who set WNBA history on Thursday by becoming the first rookie to record seven consecutive double-doubles, ranked in seventh in the early voting, putting her in line to also make the All-Star roster. Reese impressed Wilson last Friday when the Aces beat the Sky.

"We let her get away in some cases, so we can't really have that. She's too good in that area for us to let her get out. I think, in the grand scheme of things, it was a great competitive game... We got some (things) that we can learn when it comes to guarding her and defeating her, but obviously, she held her own," Wilson commented.
