On Tuesday, July 2, at 9:30 PM ET, Caitlin Clark will battle her good friend and former Iowa Hawkeyes teammate Kate Martin as the Indiana Fever travels to Las Vegas to take on the Aces.

On Monday, just one day before the game, ESPN made a big decision about the upcoming WNBA All-Star game. ESPN revealed that at 9:00 PM ET, just 30 minutes prior to the Fever-Aces matchup, they will unveil the All-Star team during a special pregame show of WNBA Countdown.

In the first round of WNBA All-Star fan voting, Clark received the second most votes behind Aces star A'ja Wilson. But with Wilson making the Team USA roster for the 2024 Paris Olympics, she has already been named an All-Star with the new format in place this year. This leaves Clark in first place in fan votes for the remaining WNBA players.

Despite many fan votes due to her popularity, Clark is well deserving of an All-Star spot with her play in her rookie season. She is averaging 16.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 6.9 assists, each of which is top-20 in the entire WNBA. These are some of the best rookie statistics the WNBA has ever seen.

Clark was selected with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft. She has led the Fever to an 8-12 record on the season.
