    Clark County opening 'cooling stations' as record heat looms

    Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – With Las Vegas facing a possibility of reaching temperatures it’s never seen before, Clark County will be opening its numerous “cooling stations” to help those escape the extreme heat

    Southern Nevada is under an Excessive Heat Warning from Wednesday at 11am through Wednesday, July 10th. Forecasts aren’t ruling out the chance that Las Vegas might reach or surpass its all–time record high of 117 degrees.

    The cooling stations will remain open through the entirety of the Excessive Heat Warning period

    In addition to the Excessive Heat Warning, Clark County will also be under an Air Quality Advisory due to the bad air that always results from the 4 th of July fireworks. The advisory begins on July 4 th and continues through Sunday, July 7 th
