The Indiana Fever took a rough 88-69 loss to the Las Vegas Aces on July 2.

However, just hours before taking the court in Las Vegas -- in front of the highest regular season single-game attendance in the WNBA since 1999 (20,366 people) -- the Fever's Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston, and Kelsey Mitchell were named to the WNBA's All-Star team.

Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese also made the roster. Speaking to reporters after the defeat to the Aces, Clark made her thoughts about playing on the same team with Reese extremely clear.

"I don't think I've ever been her teammate before, even with USA Basketball or anything like that," Clark said. "So, I know people are going to be really excited about it, but I hope it doesn't take away from everybody else. Like this is a huge accomplishment."

"For everybody on Team USA and everybody on Team WNBA, they all deserve the same praise," the 22-year-old rookie continued.

"I don’t want to take away from any of that and just be the focal point of All-Star weekend because that’s not fair to them. Obviously, this is something that’s really hard to accomplish."

Boston, who's participating in her second consecutive All-Star game, offered Clark some high praise. "I think it's special," Boston said. "I think this is really exciting for Caitlin, being a rookie, coming in, and having the impact the way that she does."

The WNBA All-Star game takes places in Phoenix in July 20.
