WNBA Makes History During Indiana Fever vs. Las Vegas Aces Game

Tuesday night was another excellent night for women's basketball.

The most notable game came when the Indiana Fever went to Las Vegas to take on the two-time defending WNBA champion Aces.

Caitlin Clark and the Fever ultimately lost to the Aces, 88-69.

But the contest still made history in the process.

The Las Vegas Review Journal's Callie Lawson-Freeman announced on Tuesday night attendance for the Aces-Fever game was 20,366.

This was the largest WNBA crowd ever for the T-Mobile Arena.

Freeman also noted that it was the largest crowd for a WNBA game since 1999, and the fifth-largest in league history.

There's no question that Clark's presence at Tuesday's game is a big reason why this impressive history was made.

After all, nine of the WNBA's top ten attendances this season have come during games where Clark was playing.

But the Aces also deserve a ton of credit.

All of their home games (with or without Clark) are already sold out for the rest of this season.

Clearly fans are clamoring to see the many WNBA superstars (such as A'ja Wilson, Kelsey Plum, Jackie Young, Chelsea Gray, and Kate Martin) that the Aces have rostered.
