As is the case every year, the National Football League made bank during the 2023 season, and that large sum of money is trickling down to the Las Vegas Raiders and the rest of the teams in the league.

Per Kurt Badenhausen and Lev Akabas of Sportico , the Raiders and the other 31 teams pulled in somewhere between $402 and $425 million in 2023 thanks to the league's revenue-sharing program, which had a pool of around $13 billion.

The exact number Las Vegas brought in isn't clear because four teams reported four different numbers to Sportico based on different factors. Those totals included $402 million, $404 million, $418 million and $425 million.

If we take the $404 million figure, that amounts to a 115% increase from a decade ago. It's also $30 million more than what each team pulled in the season prior. The expectation is that the number will see a similar increase over the next 10 years, which means the Raiders could pull in over $800 million a year by 2033.

As if all that wasn't enough, the Raiders also received money from shared gate receipts. Every team is required to contribute 34% of its ticket revenue to a pool that is equally shared. The Raiders' cut from that was another $20 million, per Sportico.

It is truly astounding how far the league has come in terms of making money, and it is only going up. It's further proof that the NFL is the King of American professional sports.
