3rd suspect arrested in Las Vegas shooting that killed 1, injured 2

LAS VEGAS ( KLAS ) — Las Vegas police have arrested a third suspect in a May shooting that left a man dead and injured two other people.
At around 4 p.m. on May 18, officers with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to the report of a shooting in the 7300 block of Prairie Falcon Road near Buffalo Drive and Lake Mead Boulevard in the northwest valley. Officers found three victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
Medical personnel pronounced one of the victims, Carl Chester, Jr., 41, dead at the scene. They took the other two victims to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said that Chester and his family hosted a birthday at a nearby business around 1 p.m., during which people in three different vehicles worked together to ambush the victim, according to an arrest report .
As the three victims left the business, two people got out of one of the vehicles and “ambushed” them, police said. They shot at them, hitting Chester’s brother in the chest, and a juvenile who was with them in the arm.
Chester got into a fistfight with two of the men, during which the Lexus pulled forward as Chester moved in front of it. The Lexus hit him before hitting a tree. Police said the vehicle was later reported stolen.
The driver of the Lexus then got out of the vehicle and joined the fight. Chester was able to get up and run across the street but the fight continued and Chester was shot by two of the three suspects. Chester fell to the ground and was shot several more times by the suspect, according to the report.
The suspects then left the scene in the Cadillac.
Police were able to identify the driver of the Cadillac as Keveon Glenn, 29, and arrested him on May 23 . Through investigation, detectives identified Michael Mays, 63, as a second suspect in the shooting. The Criminal Apprehension Team location Mays on July 10 and took him into custody.

Detectives said Monday, July 15 they identified Monroe Jones, 52, as a third suspect. Police arrested him on July 12.
Monroe Jones, 52, faces charges of open murder with a deadly weapon, two counts of attempted murder with a deadly weapon, and conspiracy to commit murder.
He was taken to the Clark County Detention Center, where he faces charges of open murder with a deadly weapon, two counts of attempted murder with a deadly weapon, and conspiracy to commit murder.
He is being held without bail. His next court appearance is scheduled for Aug. 29.
