Davante Adams' Agents Make Big Announcement Amid Raiders Trade Rumors

Rumors have been circulating that Davante Adams may request a trade from the Las Vegas Raiders. The franchise has made numerous changes since Adams' arrival and many believe the star wide receiver wants out of Vegas. With that said Adams' agents have finally addressed the ongoing situation.

Kenny Chapman and Frank Bauer, Davante Adams' agents, made an announcement revealing there has been "no trade talk" between the star wide receiver and the Raiders, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Chapman and Bauer call the trade rumors "baseless" and "unfounded speculation." From the sounds of it, Adams is going to play for Las Vegas next season.

"This is baseless, unfounded speculation and Davante is expected to be with the Raiders as there has been absolutely no trade talk - period."

The trade rumors are pretty much put to rest after a statement like that. We should expect to see Davante Adams play the entire 2024-25 season for the Raiders. As of now, something crazy is going to have to happen if Las Vegas ends up trading the superstar wide receiver.

It's not entirely clear when or how the rumor began. Davante Adams began trending this offseason thanks to Netflix's new show Receiver . There are scenes where Adams is unpleased with his situation in Las Vegas. So, perhaps the speculation grew due to the inside look of the Raiders' 2023 season.

The Raiders decided to hire Antonio Pierce as head coach, which made star pass rusher, Maxx Crosby happy. Crosby reportedly threatened a trade request if Las Vegas didn't hire Pierce as the full-time coach this offseason.

However, the quarterback situation is less than ideal after the front office failed to select a quarterback in the 2024 NFL Draft. They did sign Gardner Minshew in free agency though. So, the  Raiders will have an open competition for the starting job between Minshew and Aidan O'Connell.

Additionally, the team let superstar running back, Josh Jacobs, walk in free agency. The rushing attack will likely be split between third-year running back Zamir White and veteran Alexander Mattison.

The good news is that Antonio Pierce got the best out of the team once he took over as the interim head coach. The Raiders played much better as they proved to be a threat to playoff-contenders late in the season. Las Vegas could be in the midst of a rebuild but there is plenty of star power between Davante Adams and Maxx Crosby.
