Aces Make Huge Kate Martin Announcement Following Scary Injury vs. Sky

The Las Vegas Aces' very exciting matchup with the Chicago Sky quickly went down hill after a terrifying injury occurred in the first quarter. Kate Martin of the Aces went down with a lower leg injury and had to be helped off the court by her teammates.

While it was a beautiful scene as they displayed incredible support for their teammate, it was even more tragic. Martin is a fan-favorite amongst WNBA fans as she's just an incredibly kind and grateful person. She displays how much she cares about her fans, and brings amazing levels of positivity to the WNBA. Unfortunately, after suffering the scary injury, the Aces announced that she would not be returning.

While this isn't necessarily surprising, it likely means that this wasn't just a tweak. This could be a really serious injury and that would be horrible for the WNBA after already losing Cameron Brink. Hopefully this doesn't keep Martin out for too long, as she will be dearly missed.
