It happened on Tuesday at 5:31 p.m. at a 7-Eleven in the 900 block of North Rancho Drive near Washington Avenue.

Bell Jr. was taken into custody and cooperated with detectives, police said.

Due to the initial investigation, Bell Jr. was believed to be panhandling or loitering in front of the convenience store. The other man then drove up to the store with a passenger. While the driver went into the store the passenger and Bell Jr. got into a verbal fight, according to police.
