Shaquille O'Neal recently joined Robin Roberts on Good Morning America, discussing the current state of the WNBA.

Roberts and O'Neal had a lengthy discussion on rookies Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese. He shared his thoughts on the Rookie of the Year debate , selecting the Chicago Sky star to win the award.

Following their conversation about the WNBA's top rookies, Roberts mentioned the name of Las Vegas Aces superstar Kelsey Plum, whom Shaq had a message for.

"Kelsey, I love you," O'Neal mouthed.

This was captured on tape and shared on Good Morning America's Instagram page.

O'Neal commented on the WNBA superstar before this recent clip. He mentioned Plum as his "favorite player" earlier in the season, so the NBA legend clearly has a strong opinion of the league veteran.

This season, Plum has so far tallied 18.8 points and 4.7 assists per game. She's helped lead the Aces to the No. 5 slot in the WNBA rankings, putting Las Vegas in prime position to have a strong seeding in the 2024 playoffs.

Plum and the Aces are headed into the All-Star break following a 93-85 loss to the Chicago Sky on July 16. The 29-year-old will be featured on Team USA's roster.

Team USA is set to play against Team WNBA in the All-Star game on July 20 before heading to the Olympics in late July.

During the interview, O'Neal didn't just send his "I love you" message to Plum. He also praised women's basketball as a whole.

“The women have always played the game a little bit better and more fundamental than the guys have," O'Neal said.
