Could NBA team ownership in Las Vegas be in LeBron James' post-playing career?

A report is painting a possible post-retirement scenario for Akron native and NBA legend LeBron James.

With the NBA on the cusp of a new landmark media deal that will only enhance the value of its respective teams, team ownership as a member the billionaire’s club is a distinct possibility, according to the report.

The NBA will reportedly expand by two teams, a topic the league is expected to take up after it wraps up details of its media deals.

According to reports, the favorites to land expansion teams are Seattle, which makes sense because that city lost the Supersonics to Oklahoma City (?!?!!?!?) in 2008, and Las Vegas.

James is apparently interested in establishing a team in Sin City. It would not be the first foray into team ownership for the NBA great, who owns part of the Boston Red Sox, Pittsburgh Penguins, Liverpool FC and RFK Racing.
